An Open Letter to the woman in the car behind me
4Hi there,
You may not have noticed me here. I’m the guy in the car in front of you. I understand that you may have accidentally overlooked me, since you’re driving an SUV approximately the size of a small office building. It’s perfectly understandable. I just have a simple request, if you don’t mind:
GET OFF THE FUCKING PHONE!
Look, I understand why you have a very large vehicle. You have two children, they need their space, or they start fighting all the time. And it’s really irritating when they fight. You definitely need the third-row seat for when you have to pick up some of their More >
My Road Trip with Dash (continued)
3After acquiring my Dash Express GPS (read about it here), my first real test with it was my road trip to Houston. You know, for business (not “business”). It’s my first and only GPS system, so I unfortunately don’t have a TomTom or a Garmin to compare it with, but my understanding is that they all have their own little quirks. Dash got me to the Houston area just fine, although it did have a strange habit of recalculating the route every 80 miles or so, as though I’d exited the highway, even when I hadn’t.
When I arrived in the greater-Houston area around rush hour, the best feature of the More >
Pardon the interruption…
0My WONDERFUL and RELIABLE web host seemed to have temporarily misplaced my database earlier today, so the site was inaccessible for a few hours. Sadly, the site’s downtime has been shorter than my wait on hold with technical support.
On a COMPLETELY UNRELATED note, does anyone know of any good, cheap webhosts? No reason. Just curious.
Grand Theft Auto IV – Full Review
0Here’s the entirety of my Grand Theft Auto IV impressions and review, all gathered up into a neat little pile for you:
GTA IV – The Final Word
0Grand Theft Auto IV is a great game. It’s fun, it’s impressive, and it has plenty to justify the $60 price, well after the 30-40 hour single player campaign. So, taking that into perspective, the fact is that GTA IV is more evolutionary than revolutionary.
The single-player story starts out strong, but loses steam near the end. The multiplayer is great on the surface, but feels undercooked. The graphics are impressive until you notice some texture pop-in, or notice a glitch. For every gameplay element that feels right and satisfying, there’s an awkward control, or something that still More >
GTA IV – Multiplayer
0One of the biggest new features of Grand Theft Auto IV was the brand-new multiplayer modes. GTA hasn’t had proper multiplayer since my friends and I got together and had a LAN match playing the original GTA, so it’s been a while. Rockstar jammed a crapload of multiplayer modes into the game to dramatically extend the life of the title, well after the 30+ hour story mode and hours of running over civilians and trying to get away from the fuzz. The problem is, the multiplayer mode is just as frustrating as it is awesome.
The good stuff first: there are tons of modes, all of which take place More >
I can has commentz?
4[Tap tap tap] Hello. Is this thing on?
I know you jerks are out there, reading this wonderful blog that I put out there for your amusement. I have a little graph that tells me so. So where are you guys? I do actually have a comments section, right down there, right below the post. See it? If you’re on the front page, there’s a little quick link that takes you straight to it. That’s for you! I understand it’s a little sad to start pestering people to leave comments on my blog, but this is what you’ve forced me to lower myself to. I feel like such a tool. Are you happy now? So More >
