MySQL can kiss MySQAss

So my endeavour to get this site up and running is complete. What you see here is the result of several days worth of agonizing and scrutinizing over MySQL databases, PHP issues, wrestling with WordPress, and several botched attempts to edit a CSS stylesheet when I had no idea what either a stylesheet or a CSS was. It’s finally over.

You jerks better enjoy it.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the hours I spent trying to figure out why WordPress wouldn’t talk to my database, when I had accidentally named the database “wodrpess” instead of “wordpress.” IT WAS A BLAST!

Things I currently regret saying or thinking:

  • “I’m going to start a blog!”
  • “WordPress seems like a very flexible and powerful platform.  I’m sure it won’t be too advanced.”
  • “Why should I use my webhost’s one-click install of WordPress?  I’ll install it myself so I have more control.”
  • “Surely customizing a theme won’t be that difficult.”

Reasons why I chose Blogger and it’s pre-fab layouts. I don’t play like I know how to fiddle with that complicated hullabaloo.

Haha…and now I can’t read your comment post. Guess there’s something else to tweak.

The comments have been fixed! Huzzah! Huzzah!

So in addition to never really testing my comments, I never tested the search function, either. It’s all good now, though. Although, honestly, at this point there’s not much to search.
