The Geek Trifecta

A recent trip to Blockbuster resulted in my obtaining the above pictured DVDs: Serenity, Futurama: Bender’s Big Score, and Battlestar Galactica: Razor.  If there were a Geiger-counter-like device that could detect levels of geektitude, the table where I took this photo would break the needle.

Tim,
You were one of the last respectable TV journalists.  While your passing may let many a politician and CEO breathe a sigh of relief, the rest of us are worse off for your passing.  We can only hope that you’re sitting down at a table this Sunday morning, grilling St. Peter about when the Pearly Gates are actually going to get fixed.

With cable and satellite viewers assaulted with eleventy-billion channels, cable broadcasters have to carve niches for themselves so they can find an audience.
